Our clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized DME Referral Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive the durable medical equipment (DME) they need in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Process and coordinate DME referrals from providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clinic policies.
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to gather necessary documentation for DME orders.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain required authorizations for DME services.
- Collaborate with DME vendors to arrange delivery and confirm receipt of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of referrals, authorizations, and patient communications.
- Track referral status and follow up as needed to ensure timely completion.
- Educate patients and families about DME processes, coverage, and vendor information.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, insurance guidelines, and clinic procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and external partners.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college or medical office coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in medical referrals, DME coordination, or insurance verification strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday during clinic business hours.
- Competitive pay based on experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
