Responsible for the delivery and setup of durable medical equipment to patient/family homes, medical facilities, and other company locations. Provides training on the use of the equipment. Tests and maintains equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Job Duties:Reviews work orders and documents delivery routes. Conducts phone calls to schedule delivery and pick-up of durable medical equipment and supplies. Locates products within inventory and loads vehicle with durable medical equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, lift chairs, and supplies. Ensures that equipment is properly secured within vehicle. Transports durable medical equipment and supplies to patient/family homes, medical facilities, and other locations as required. Assembles and installs durable medical equipment. Provides patient/caregivers with orientation and instruction on the proper use of the equipment and answers any questions they may have. Performs follow-up servicing of equipment as necessary. Performs minor repair of equipment as required. Picks up, unloads, and disassembles returned equipment at the warehouse. Performs documentation tasks including completing paperwork, obtaining signatures, and maintaining driver log. Assists in cleaning and disinfecting used equipment as needed. Performs daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks on assigned vehicle. Ensures cleanliness of vehicle during and following use. Complies with all applicable regulatory requirements including oxygen tank tracking and vehicle inspection. Maintains a courteous, professional attitude towards all contacts, including patients, caregivers, and customers while maintaining a neat and clean appearance. Follows HIPAA guidelines. Utilizes asset tracking software Assists in maintaining inventory of equipment needs. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) year of specialized training or education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional six (6) months of experience in a related field.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Internet software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must possess a basic level of skill in working with respiratory and general durable medical equipment. Must have good interpersonal relationship skills in dealing with clients, families, physicians, co-workers, and other health care workers. Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations and maintains strict confidentiality of patient information.
Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred (100) pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
