ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Opened in 1998, San Francisco SafeHouse is a 501(c)3 non-profit transitional housing program that works to empower and support womxn who are experiencing housing instability and sexual exploitation or trafficking, by creating survivor-centered spaces, services, advocacy, and community education.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The DV CE Intake Coordinator is responsible for administering one of the City of San Francisco’s Coordinated Entry Access Points for Survivors of Violence. Based at our Hope Center location in SOMA, the Intake Coordinator meets with survivors to assess them for city housing resources and works with the Coordinated Entry for Survivors team to place survivors in housing solutions aimed at resolving experiences of homelessness.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Services (75%)
- Conducts coordinated entry assessments utilizing trauma informed assessment principles
- Provide appropriate referrals and resources to survivors at the time of assessment
- Conduct follow up meetings with survivors as needed, including the facilitation of warm hand-offs with other service providers
- Participate in routine community outreach at events such as Project Homeless Connect
- Provide mobile assessments at partner sites, hospitals and other setting where survivors seek services
- Assist with client services for the Hope Center site
Administrative Duties (25%)
- Open client files and keep detailed and updated screening information using internal electronic health records database
- Maintain accurate records of all scored assessments utilizing coordinated entry tools as well as data entry through the HOPE system (Survivor specific HMIS system)
- Attend all required Coordinated Entry provider meetings and trainings
- Attend all internal staff meetings, trainings, and individual supervision meetings
Qualifications:
- Bilingual and bicultural Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, or Thai highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in social services working with vulnerable populations. Equivalent experience accepted.
- Aware of trauma-informed care, harm reduction models and cultural humility
- Commitment and understanding of social justice and systems of oppression
- Demonstrated proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is between; $68,000-72,000 annually, based upon experience. Benefits include vacation days and health/dental/vision insurance.
