The Department of Social Services seeks a highly motivated and dependable professional to join our Customer Care Team.
Distinguishing Features
This role requires advanced communication and exceptional customer service skills to support the Economic and Medicaid Services Division, Family and Children Services and Adult Services.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and, at times, may require training in different locations.
Minimum Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or GED and two years of paraprofessional or clerical public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information,
gathering and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks,
or graduation from high school or GED and one year of experience in an income maintenance program.
A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide guidance to customers who enter the agency, utilize universal computer technology such as Microsoft Office, utilize de-escalation skills when appropriate, and thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
They will assist customers with questions regarding economic benefits that includes the following programs: Childcare Subsidies, Adult Medicaid, Family and Children's Medicaid, Energy, Medicaid Transportation, Food and Nutrition, Program Integrity, and Work First.
