Location: Ridgewood Rd, Springfield, VT 05156
Duration: 13-Week Contract (With possibility of extension)
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40
For Local Candidates: $28-30 (If your permanent address is within the 50-mile radius from the facility)
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50-mile radius from the facility)
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $29.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $1,160.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $14.15.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $566.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $594.00
OR
For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $30.50.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $1,220.00
Job Description:
An Emergency Department (ED) Technician assists healthcare providers in delivering emergency medical care to patients. They perform clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Skills Required:
Assist nurses and physicians with patient care procedures, including wound care, splinting, and EKGs
Obtain and document vital signs, patient history, and medical information
Perform phlebotomy, IV insertion, and specimen collection as needed
Monitor patient status and report changes to healthcare providers
Assist with patient transport and mobility support
Maintain cleanliness and organization of emergency department equipment and supplies
Perform CPR and other life-saving measures when necessary
Provide emotional support and assistance to patients and families
Follow hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Requirements:
- BLS (AHA)
- Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician.
