Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: Days – Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay Details:
For locals (Within 50 miles): $30 - $33
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50-mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly Pay Rate (W2): $37.00
Weekly Pay Rate (W2): $1,480.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $7.25
Minimum Hourly Stipend: $29.75
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $290.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,190.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $1,480.00

Hourly Pay Rate (1099): $39.00

Job Overview:
As a Surgery Support Specialist, you will play an essential role in supporting the daily operations of the Surgical Suites. This includes safe and timely transport of patients and specimens, assisting with room turnover, maintaining cleanliness and infection control standards, restocking supplies, and inspecting surgical instruments. This role demands high attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
· Transport patients, specimens, blood, and equipment safely and according to protocol.
· Assist in positioning patients in Surgical Suites and reporting any status changes.
· Communicate effectively with the OR Desk or Charge Nurse regarding delays or updates.
· Perform emergency interventions during patient transport if necessary.
· Clean and prepare Operating Rooms between cases, including daily/weekly deep cleaning of surgical spaces.
· Maintain cleanliness in hallways, staff lounges, supply areas, and bathrooms.
· Restock linens, solutions, and medical supplies throughout the department.
· Follow all safety, infection control, and waste disposal protocols.
· Inspect neuro trays and surgical instruments prior to sterilization for cleanliness and contamination.
· Perform additional support duties as assigned.
Certification and Licensure Requirement:
· 0–3 years of experience in a clinical, hospital, or support services role
· Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
