Are you passionate about using your legal degree to make a meaningful impact?

This isn’t just another clock-punching job—it’s a chance to do work that truly matters. At Spitz, The Employee’s Law Firm, you’ll help real people, engage in substantive legal work, and have the opportunity to grow and advance in your career. This is the kind of work you envisioned when you decided to go to law school.

Spitz, The Employee’s Law Firm, is a nationally recognized employment law firm that stands up for employees facing discrimination and harassment. We have a nationwide practice with offices in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, and North Carolina. We are currently seeking an Attorney for our Independence, Columbus, and Cincinnati, Ohio offices.

Key qualifications for this role include strong client engagement skills, excellent communication, empathy, and a strong work ethic. We welcome applications from all licensed attorneys, regardless of GPA or experience. While experience in employment law is a plus, it is not a requirement.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $85,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Discuss potential claims with new clients
  • Evaluate discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, overtime claims, and wrongful termination cases
  • Handle the claims process
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Communicate daily with staff and managers to coordinate screenings and consultations
  • Draft notice of claims, EEOC charges, state charge forms, and other documents as necessary
  • Engage with EEOC investigators to present evidence
Qualifications:
  • Must have Juris Doctorate
  • Must be currently licensed to practice law, awaiting Ohio bar results
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate empathy
  • Must possess the ability to multitask using advanced time management skills and demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize work
