Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced escape room employee who can be both Game Master and Host. You would be on the Host shift from 5 pm - close Wed-Fri, and you would Game Master our triple station on Sat & Sun night from 5:15 pm - close.
These are great shifts to maximize on your tips and reviews if you are a put-together, effective employee, on top of an already great hourly rate. This is one of our most full-time positions at our location which is hard to come by in the escape room industry, so we are looking for someone to will really add to the team with a skillset of their own.
Responsibilities
- Reception duties - checking in guests, etc.
- Perform the in-room intro for each of our 5 rooms, providing clear instructions on game rules and objectives.
- Team exits and exit speech.
- Monitor gameplay to ensure adherence to rules while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
- Handle POS transactions efficiently and accurately during event check-ins.
- Manage conflicts or issues that arise during gameplay with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Collaborate with team members to keep your work area organized, clean, and efficient at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing participant inquiries and feedback promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in an escape room role is highly desirable.
- Background in hosting or public speaking is a plus, enhancing the ability to engage with participants effectively.
- Experience working with children or in hospitality settings can be beneficial for creating a welcoming environment.
- Familiarity with event management or resort operations is advantageous but not required.
- Skills in conflict management will help navigate challenges that may arise during gameplay.
