JOB SUMMARY
The HR Field Generalist will play a key role in delivering comprehensive HR support across multiple locations, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this role will support key areas of the associate life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance management, and engagement. The HR Field Generalist will also assist in the implementation of HR strategies and programs at the local level, partnering with location leadership to foster a positive and compliant work environment. This position requires a strong commitment to ensuring consistent HR practices aligned with company objectives and local needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional duties may be assigned, as necessary.
- Serves as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries across multiple Business Units, providing guidance on areas such as Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Policy and Procedures and Workers Compensation.
- Provides foundational associate relations support, addressing concerns and escalating more complex matters to the HR Business Partner or relevant stakeholder as needed.
- Supports the onboarding process for all new hires, including the facilitation of New Hire Orientation (NHO), ensuring systems access, I-9 compliance, and fostering a positive and engaging onboarding experience. Submits and processes background checks.
- Champion the promotion of company culture, identifying opportunities to enhance associate engagement and satisfaction within assigned Business Units.
- May participate and support the exit interview process, reporting common themes to HR Business Parter.
- Supports the full recruitment lifecycle, including creating and updating job descriptions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and extending job offers to candidates.
- Oversees timekeeping and payroll functions for associates in assigned Business unit(s), ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Collaborates with Benefits team to manage Leave of Absence processes, ensuring associates receive appropriate support during their time away.
- Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations, promoting compliance in all HR-related activities
- Assists in the process of reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug screening processes in partnership with BU leadership, ensuring timely follow-up and compliance with applicable regulations
- May assist with or manage reasonable accommodation requests under the ADA, engaging in interactive conversations with employees and partnering with the leadership team to arrange appropriate accommodation
- Monitor, track, and ensure completion of all required associate training

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To successfully perform this role, the individual must be able to meet the requirements outlined below. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Associate’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with experience supporting over 200 associates at multiple locations
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and current employment laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with associates at all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Paylocity is a plus
- Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion and professionalism
- A proactive attitude toward continuous learning and development in various HR functions
- Adaptability and comfort in a dynamic, changing environment
- High level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ), with experience managing confidential issues and navigating sensitive workplace matters

- Must also be able to stand for prolonged periods, when necessary, move between offices, and reach with hands and arms to handle mail and documents

- Visual acuity to accurately review and distinguish differences in documents and files
