Key Responsibilities:

Patient Financial Arrangements:
- Present and explain orthodontic treatment fees and payment options clearly and professionally.
- Create customized financial agreements that align with practice policies.
- Collect initial payments and set up automatic drafts or payment schedules.

- Verify orthodontic insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Submit pre-authorizations and claims in a timely and accurate manner.
- Track insurance payments and follow up on unpaid claims.

- Billing and Collections:
- Monitor patient accounts for overdue payments and take appropriate action.
- Post payments accurately to patient accounts.
- Coordinate with third-party financing providers (e.g., CareCredit).

- Maintain accurate patient financial records.
- Respond to billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a dental or orthodontic office; financial or insurance coordination experience strongly preferred.

Familiarity with dental/orthodontic billing software (e.g., Dolphin, OrthoTrac, Open Dental).

Strong understanding of insurance terminology, claims processing, and accounts receivable.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
