Position Summary: As a Front Desk / Sales Associate, you'll be the face of Club Pilates, welcoming potential clients, bringing in new members, and driving sales of memberships, private training, teacher training, and retail merchandise. You'll engage with new and existing members, helping them define and achieve their fitness goals while delivering outstanding customer service. Collaborating with the General Manager and fellow Sales Associates, you'll ensure the studio's appearance and inventory levels are maintained. While a fitness background is preferred, a strong sales background is ideal.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in members and potential members at the studio.
- Engage with prospects during Intro classes, from booking through post-attendance follow-up.
- Boost studio revenue by promoting retail and membership sales and services.
- Execute the sales process: lead generation, follow-up, and closing via email, text, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Conduct studio tours, establish relationships, and address prospective members' needs.
- Emphasize and enforce the studio's objectives as a fitness and wellness provider.
- Present available services to current and prospective members.
- Book quality appointments to achieve monthly sales quotas.
- Maintain personal sales production at an acceptable level.
- Ensure a clean and orderly work environment, including studio rooms.
- Be a motivating and inspiring force promoting our motto: "Do Pilates. Do Life."
- Build strong connections with studio staff, instructors, and members.
- Schedule and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of members' personal information.
- Utilize the club management software system (e.g., Club Ready).
- Continuously develop your selling skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
- Professional and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Goal-oriented with a proven ability to achieve sales in memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Sufficient hearing to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday.
- Energetic, positive, and motivational attitude.
- Trustworthy, professional, punctual, reliable, and dedicated.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and make changes using good judgment.
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and clients.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn club management software systems (e.g., Club Ready).
- Passion or interest in fitness and Pilates, and a desire to help members achieve their goals.
- Retail/service sales or fitness sales experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
