We are looking for a bright front assistant with a billing and medical triaging background who is willing to do all things front office with a focus in scheduling, checking patients in, plus billing and money collection. There will be crossover between this primarily front office/billing position with administrative duties and minor back office duties. We are trying to fill a full-time (5 days and 40 hours per week) position. You will also float to help the back nursing staff as needed. The primary role will be scheduling appointments, answering/triaging patient phone calls, collecting bills, verifying insurance, going through faxes and administration duties. Proficient typing is a requirement. A working knowledge of Word, Excel, and an EMR systems is a must.
Back-office duties would include helping to room patients, taking vitals, making referrals, and getting PAs. This part of the position would be to assist and cover the team. However, this will be a tertiary part of the role. The main focus would be front office/billing/administration.
Characteristics that are important in our medical staff include but are not limited to being able to triage, organization, team player, a self-starter, technical savvy, adaptability, and positive outlook. We are a small and progressive company. We are moving in the direction of being a highly technological office and require comfort in using the computer and different software programs and apps. We use ECW and Phreesia. Experience in these are a plus but not a requirement. However, EMR (electronic medical records) experience and ability to type efficiently and quickly is required. Experience in medicine is a must. Pediatric experience is preferred. Adaptability and being able to float as needed is also a requirement.

We are looking for a long-term employee with previous experience for this position specifically. Please do not apply if looking for a back office CMA position.
