Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. This role involves assisting classroom management, and providing individualized support to students around toileting and lunch. A passion for education and experience in Montessori is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Participate in curriculum development to enhance student learning experiences.
- Facilitate Montessori-based activities that promote independent learning and exploration.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in daycare or private school settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of literacy education practices and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families.
- A genuine passion for educating children and supporting their developmental needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.
