We are seeking a dedicated and personable Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for guest relations, as you will be responsible for managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, and facilitating a smooth check-in and check-out process.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage front desk operations including check-in/check-out procedures.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
- Operate phone systems to manage incoming calls and relay messages effectively.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest needs are met.
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a professional appearance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel management software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing guest services.
- Experience with front desk operations or night audit procedures is advantageous.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local attractions and services to assist guests effectively.
