Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner, Lindenwood Online and Student Employees

Job Summary
The human resources (HR) business partner for Lindenwood Online and student employees serves as the primary HR liaison for Lindenwood’s online division and oversees all aspects of the student employee program. This role ensures effective processing and compliance for faculty, adjuncts, staff, and temporary employees for the online and student employee programs. This role provides high-level administrative support to the human resources function as needed, including recordkeeping, file maintenance, and Workday processing and entry. This position works closely with HR colleagues, department leadership, and institutional partners to ensure consistent application of HR policies, systems accuracy, and service excellence.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Serves as the HR business partner for Lindenwood Online Division, developing an understanding of current and future needs, challenges, and priorities
- Ensures all employee new hires, terminations, and changes within Workday are processed accurately and timely
- Provides guidance on human resources policies, practices, and processes
- Manages the issuance of accurate employment letters and contracts
- Monitors advancements and changes in Workday HCM providing suggestions for enhancements; Works with team to update processes
- Manages the issuance of adjunct contracts for the online division, coordinating with payroll for accurate payment
- Ensures completion of all onboarding and compliance requirements including I-9 documentation, background checks, and social media reviews
- Maintains confidential personnel files and reports
- Conducts ongoing audits to ensure data accuracy; Analyzes data for patterns, trends, and issues providing insights for design and solutions to leadership
- Oversees the day-to-day administration of the university’s student employment program, including work-study and institutional positions
- Partners with Student Financial Services, Advising, and departmental supervisors to ensure student employment eligibility, accurate setup, and proper tracking of work limits
- Develops and maintains job aids, trainings, and communication materials to support supervisors and improve program consistency
- Maintains knowledge of human resources trends and best practices
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations as well as University policy

- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with faculty, staff, colleagues, and students
- Develops trainings, reference materials, and conducts one-on-one consultations as needed to assist supervisors
Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration
- Works closely with human resources team to ensure smooth onboarding, orientation, and completion of required trainings
- Participates in the preparation and distribution of departmental communications.
- Keeps compensation, benefits, payroll, and HRIS functions informed of pertinent situations; partners with them as needed to discuss cross-functional processes and services.
- Works closely with the Learning Academy in identifying training needs for the online division

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ human resources experience
- Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Human Resources Certificate Institute Certification designation preferred
- Experience with Workday preferred
