Job description
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the HR Generalist performs a wide array of responsibilities in support of the workforce while ensuring the Company follows applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices. Examples include talent recruitment, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, benefits administration, drug testing program, compliance, training, among others. The ideal HR Generalist is a disciplined professional who demonstrates unwavering commitment, adheres to standards, is an exceptional communicator (oral and written), analytical, meticulous attention to detail, adept leader, an astute listener who is empathetic and compassionate yet willing to engage in "uncomfortable situations" with grace as needed. This candidate must be ready, willing, and capable of filling in seamlessly during the absence of the HR Director to ensure objectives are met. This at times may include involvement with strategic planning, decisions, and business results. This is NOT a supervisory role.

Responsibilities
- Uphold the mission, vision, core values of Blauch Brothers among workforce, clients, and public alike
- Responsible for creation, updates, storage, retention, and eventual destruction of all HR personnel records from cradle to grave; I9s, background checks, recruiting/resumes, interview boards, disciplinary reviews and write-ups, routine performance evals, wage changes, training records, medical files, benefit elections, Blauch Brothers, Inc. handbook, policy notifications, etc.
- Process weekly payroll to ensure the timely, accurate payment of all Blauch Brothers members
- Continuously develop skills, knowledge, experience while remaining abreast of legislative changes, SHRM best practices, and other relevant industry standards
- Generate revised standards, innovative tools and techniques, and creative solutions to myriad complex challenges, performance gaps, and personnel deficiencies to improve team dynamics and results
- Support and engage in trade and peer groups (e.g., The Unified Group) to foster professional growth
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment and make informed decisions
- Communicate professionally and courteously with teams, customers, and external entities, adhering to Blauch Brothers' standards
- HRIS system administrator (ARCORO) - ensures full application and functionality realized
- Hold individuals accountable in a tactful manner and maintain positive relationship management
- Support Safety Director in maintaining periodicity of training, review and promulgation of policies/procedures, budgeting and purchasing of PPE, and retaining favorable MOD rate below 1.0

- Adeptly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, LMS, HRIS (ARCORO), SAGE, social media outlets, and other commonly used web-based software, online tools, and technologies critical for talent management and recruiting
- Supports administration of Drug Testing Program (frequency, policy, protocols, supplies, records, and actions)
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; Military service may substitute
- 3 or more years of HR, supervisory, teaching, coaching, and/or labor relations expertise
- SHRM or similar professional certification desired but not required
- Individual strengths, character, professionalism may be considered in lieu of educational record
- Spanish language definitely a plus although not required
- Ability to perform basic tasks in an office environment, including sitting for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching
- Able to operate computer hardware and peripheral devices
- Good visual acuity for reading instructions, labels, drawings, contracts
- Ability to hear and understand speech in person and over the telephone
- Strong verbal communication skills for clear conversations and convincing written correspondence Frequent field visits required to get out and see the workforce in action (exposure to the elements)
