At Hartford Truck Equipment, we’re hiring a Human Resources Generalist who wants to do meaningful work while keeping their evenings and weekends for themselves. We're a growing team that values balance, camaraderie, and getting the details right.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and streamline our HR operations—payroll, onboarding/offboarding, benefits, compliance, and more
- Manage and report on HR data using ADP and other HRIS systems
- Lead employee onboarding from offer through Day 1, and partner on engagement and retention initiatives
- Be a resource for employees and leadership alike—approachable, objective, and solutions-focused
- Drive process improvements while helping us build a great place to work
What You Bring:
- 2+ years in a full-time HR role, ideally in a small to mid-sized company
- Experience running payroll and benefits (ADP knowledge = a big plus)
- Comfort with HRIS systems, compliance, and employment law basics
- A collaborative mindset with the maturity to earn trust without blurring professional lines
- A knack for details, follow-through, and building systems that make people’s lives easier
