Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will assume comprehensive responsibilities across the Human Resources spectrum, encompassing recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, benefits management, training and development, and compliance. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to legal regulations, and cultivating a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Day-to-Day HR Functions: Oversee daily HR operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding processes.
* Administer Employee Benefits Programs: Implement and manage employee benefits programs, including 401(k) plans, health insurance, paid time off, and other relevant benefits.
* Process and Manage Weekly Payroll: Process and manage weekly payroll, ensuring accurate deductions for health insurance, 401(k) contributions, garnishments, and reimbursements.
* Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Partner with hiring managers to conduct interviews, review resumes, and facilitate a seamless recruitment process.
* Maintain and Update Job Descriptions and Role Classifications: Maintain and update job descriptions and role classifications to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational needs.
* Collaborate with Benefits Broker: Collaborate closely with our benefits broker to plan for renewals and coordinate employee education initiatives regarding benefits.
* Handle Sensitive Situations: Handle sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and empathy.
* Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
* Maintain Accurate HR Records and Reports: Maintain accurate HR records and reports while upholding confidentiality.
* Support Ongoing Employee Development: Support ongoing employee development through training and performance initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a generalist role
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or QuickBooks Payroll is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of employment-related policies and practices, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Paid Family and Medical Leave Act (PFL), Workers’ Compensation, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
