Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading the full employee life cycle in a manner that is efficient, compliant, and compassionate. This individual plans, implements, evaluates, and monitors each area within the Human Resources department to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy and execution of full employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, training, internal communication, performance improvement, total compensation, benefits, and offboarding.
- Ensure practices are compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
- Be the primary resource for employees with inquiries related to policies or procedures, using discernment on when to escalate to executive leadership and legal counsel.
- Partner closely with other administrative functions (Finance, IT, Clinical, Clerical, Administrative) to meet business needs.
- Provide guidance and oversight to employee relations and performance improvement.
- Execute routine audits and regulatory reports in partnership with Finance.
- Responsible for general tasks related to and within the HR Information System.
- Establish, implement and enforce policies and procedures.
- Lead and monitor performance management program.
- Identify gaps in managerial skills and staffing.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the Employee Handbook.
- Report on department results and outcomes to the CEO.
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
- Participate in payroll process activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of five years of experience in human resources
- Minimum education level of Associate’s degree in related field
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Preferred: HR certification
- Preferred: experience working in a healthcare setting

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven success collaborating with all levels of employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information while conducting themselves with a professional demeanor.
- Developed leadership skills combined with the ability and willingness to be an individual contributor.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, delivering favorable results under pressure.
- Knowledge of planning, budgeting, human resource management, and report development.
- Skill in motivating others to implement decisions using tact, diplomacy, flexibility, and communication techniques.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
- Involves standing, walking, bending, grasping, manipulating, and squatting. Occasional need to lift patient during transfer/turn process with or without assistance. Stress can be triggered by workload and complex cases.
