Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our Design team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces and a strong understanding of design principles. As an Interior Design assistant, you will work closely with the lead interior designer and clients to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that reflect their style and needs. You will be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion, ensuring that all designs meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Check emails and print out anything important, file order confirmations with tracking sheets, update quotes in binders (le. Plumbing, appliance, cabinet drawings)
- Check price and stock on Items needed for projects, Generate Quotes for Design Clients
- Samples: order online, pick up and return from local vendors-Hensons, Tommys, etc. and organize fabrics, wallpaper, bedding and carpet samples we keep
- Create and Update Client Spec Sheets for Binders and Folders
- Create and Update Design Boards, Tracking Sheets, Quotes and Order Confirmation
- Assist in Project Management: be aware of orders and when they are expected to arrive, line up workrooms and installers, movers accordingly
- Shop for specific accessories and furniture, make returns when needed, file claims when needed
- Keep the office organized, including files and client baskets, keep office supplies stocked and paint sample boards as needed
- Take work orders and supples to workrooms and pick up when they are completed, be sure to transport safely in your vehicle, always keep in protective wrapping. Put pillow inserts in pillows as soon as they come back from the workroom
- Furniture Layouts in Icovia
- Attend client meetings to take measurements, pictures and detailed notes
- Help with social media and client relations
Skills
- Detailed oriented and very organized
- Proficiency in design software is a PLUS including AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup
- Strong understanding of space planning
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during the design process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
