Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Manager drives inventory accuracy and operational efficiency through hands-on leadership and cross-functional coordination. This role leads a team responsible for all inventory management, receiving, and replenishments functions across the warehouse. This role ensures inventory accuracy, efficient putaway and replenishment, and timely receiving of product to support fulfillment and product availability. The manager is accountable for team performance, training, and engagement; fostering a high-performing culture built on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across inventory control, receiving, and replenishment functions
  • Lead, coach, and develop Inventory Control associates to drive productivity, accuracy, and engagement
  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular check ins, feedback sessions, and performance reviews
  • Manage team scheduling, PTO approvals, timesheet accuracy, and attendance tracking
  • Own the inbound receiving process: validate shipments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely receipts
  • Ensure efficient putaway and accurate bin assignment to support inventory visibility and location accuracy
  • Oversee replenishment from bulk locations to pick bins to maintain pickable inventory levels and support order fulfillment
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records and timely data entry into WMS/ERP platforms (e.g. Deposco/Netsuite)
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to streamline inventory, receiving, and replenishment processes
  • Plan and support warehouse full physical count and lead variance analysis and reconciliation efforts
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in all warehouse errors

Required Minimum Qualifications/Job Knowledge:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or inventory control environment
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, putaway, replenishment, and inventory control
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and foster accountability
  • Experience with WMS and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Strong problem solving skills with a proactive, solution oriented mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures

Physical Requirements of the Job:
This is a highly active position. Managers spend most of each shift standing or walking and must regularly bend, stoop, crouch, and climb short stairs. Frequent tasks include grasping items, lifting or carrying boxes of 10 lbs or more, and pushing or pulling loads up to 50 lbs. Work may occur in hot or cold environments.
