Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for our olive farm. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to effectively manage irrigation tasks while promoting healthy plant growth.
Duties
- Maintain drip irrigation system, including power generators.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues or areas needing repair.
- Collaborate with farm manager to ensure proper watering schedules are followed.
- Assist in fertilization and pest control as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or irrigation work is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems effectively.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in farming practices.
- Ability to dig, lift, and perform physical labor as required by the job.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure all installations meet quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
