Your Role in Our Journey


You will be expected to be a Wine Enthusiast brand ambassador - obsessively focused on driving consistent growth with innovative solutions for our clients. This position calls for a hungry individual with a driving force and passion for the wine industry. This person is a storyteller who can “Bring Wine to Life,” as the WE Companies Mission states via accessible and authoritative marketing. Wine Enthusiast Media is a B Corp certified company recognized for its commitment to high standards of social and environmental impact, transparency, and purpose-driven business practices. This role reports directly into the Senior Director, Brand Partnerships and is an integral part of the publishing team.


What You'll Be Uncorking


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee West Coast territory to consistently meet and exceed annual revenue goals as well as daily reporting expectations
  • Over communicate client statuses and tracking towards team goals via Slack, Emails, and phone
  • Manage territory’s revenue targets and maintain organized details for Senior Director, Brand Partnerships and Publisher
  • Maintain bi-weekly 1on1s with Senior Director, Brand Partnerships to gather and centralize sales data
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams—including Client Success, Digital Advertising, Editorial, and Tasting—to align goals, grow revenue and drive project success.
  • Continue to learn and progress their capabilities with trainings and SMART goals
  • Ensure program success and satisfaction across all sold and closed programming with Client Success team
  • Actively maintain key client relationships via calls and in-person meetings
  • Develop a consultative rapport to close business while always looking for areas of opportunity that benefit our clients
  • Work alongside Publisher and Management Team to develop new and fitting media products for your territory
  • Coordinate with production teams on digital program executions, print operations, events and creative services
  • Ability to travel and coordinate with Publisher and Senior Director, Brand Partnerships for representation at all relevant West Coast events, trade shows and local client meetings


The Perfect Blend (What You Bring to the Table)


Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in sales including digital media and/or print media a plus
  • Proven track record of wine or media industry fluency and positive team dynamics
  • Familiarity with the Bay Area, Northern California and Pacific Northwest
  • Laser focus on media revenue goal while considering new business growth
  • Comfortable making sales calls with excellent presentation skills
  • Act as a team player alongside team of sale representatives
  • List of existing relationships either client-direct or with agencies
  • Experience and fluency in the Digital Media space
  • Alcohol beverage industry clients experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree

The pay range for this role is:
