We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician and landscape laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working outdoors and maintaining landscapes. This position offers the opportunity to showcase your skills in irrigation systems and contribute to the beauty of various outdoor spaces.
You’d be responsible for:
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties
- Inspect and troubleshoot irrigation issues to determine necessary repairs
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers for optimal water distribution
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to ensure proper irrigation coverage for plants and lawns
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment to complete irrigation projects
- Dig trenches, lay pipes, and perform landscape modifications as needed
- Cutting turf, trimming, and edging along borders, and blowing using power equipment
- Pruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit or remove damaged branches.
- Planting and maintaining flower beds and applying mulch.
- Picking up trash and debris
- Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
- Occasional paving work
- Maintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers
You might be a good fit if:
- You’re at least 18 years old
- Ability to push, pull, carry and lift over 30 pounds multiple times per day.
- Prior experience in garden maintenance, landscape irrigation, or related field
- Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and exposure to elements 8 to 10 hours per day.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and lawn care techniques
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems effectively
- You’re enthusiastic and dependable.
- You’re able to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters
- If you will be driving a company vehicle you must have a clean driving record.
- Position requires consistently moving, walking, stooping and kneeling.
- Frequently walking on uneven terrain. This can include heavy to moderate noise, close proximity to moving equipment or machinery.
- Exposure to materials, tools, herbicides and equipment used in construction and landscaping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
