We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC repair/installation, parts replacement, preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, basic plumbing and electrical wiring etc. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems, equipment, or machinery to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, basic wiring (single and three phase) clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Assist in the setup of various equipment and systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain heating, cooling and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect operator work centers and schedule repairs to ensure minimal downtime
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, replace piping, replace or patch ware items.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned
- Communicate parts or material needs to purchasing manager via communication app
- Complete daily reports and progress updates on projects and repairs
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing various industrial equipment like air compressor (Sull-Air), Chillers (Koolant Koolers/Coldshot), Hoist and Trolley cranes (Harrington/CM Hoist), various metering, electrical, and pneumatic pumps, experience with AC/DC rectifiers a plus, solid compression press (MW Watermark), industrial ovens (Grieve), Sandblasting equipment (Coyote/Clemco) etc.
- Experience implementing LOTO methods and other safety procedures
- Includes standing, sitting, walking, general & roof ladder, scissor lift, & fork truck use, to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment
- Assist production team and ensure all equipment needs are in order to ensure orderly work
- Implement and perform various tasks associated with Manager's process and facilities improvement
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Associate degree, trade school certification, or verifiable training in a relevant technical field or relevant field is a plus
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a plus
- Proven ability to learn quickly & address issues as they arise during work hours or when on call
- Demonstrate skills in all phases of facility maintenance including electrical troubleshooting
- Self-starter in new equipment learning, training & ability to lead preventative maintenance efforts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
