Overview
Sierra Winds is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems within the facility.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and wiring diagrams.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.
- Provide leadership in maintenance projects, guiding less experienced technicians when needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including familiarity with logic controllers and welding techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Leadership qualities that enable effective collaboration within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
