Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. We are a fast-paced multi-specialty and locally owned billing company. Interested candidates should have some medical billing and coding experience, good communication, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, but most importantly enjoy doing medical billing in a Team environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter demographic and insurance information.
- Responsible for charge and payment entry within the practice management system.
- Collect, post, and manage patient account payments.
- Investigates rejected claims to see why denials were issued and correct accordingly.
- Process billing phone calls and questions from patients and insurance carriers.
- Follows up on unpaid claims.
- Utilize ICD-10 and CPT coding to ensure proper billing for services rendered.
- Maintain and update medical records in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct medical collections, following up on outstanding claims and payments.
- Collaborate with healthcare provider offices to resolve any discrepancies in billing.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to medical billing.
- Generate reports on billing activities and assist in audits as needed.
- Stay current with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience in medical billing.
- Knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Accounts Receivable (A/R) experience.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Strong team player.
- Resourceful.
- Must have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure, manage conflict, and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
