Major Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and other individuals as entering office
- Verify demographic information is correct
- Verify Insurance benefits
- Work Task list within Nextgen
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Send appointment reminder notifications (postcard mailings)
- Enter / ensure patients have current and accurate demographic, insurance, medical history, and referral information on file in EHR
- Scan correspondence into patient chart
- Review incoming faxes and patient portal messages and forward to appropriate individuals
- Verify patients biologic medications are available and in office, prior to scheduled appointment time
- Schedule lab / radiology and other testing ordered by providers
- Ensure all fee tickets are printed and referenced with daily patient schedule
- Process payments via credit card / ACH terminal
- Perform bank deposit and daily payment reconciliation
