Hopes Promise Respite LLC is hiring flexible, compassionate and dedicated Mentors to support children with intellectual/developmental disabilities and children with behavioral challenges in their homes, afterschool programs and at local community activities.

Available Hours:

• Part time hours are currently available primarily in the late afternoon and evening hours
• Shifts average 2 hours to 4 hours per assigned day
• Locations include the counties of Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic and surrounding areas

Job Summary:

• Provide personalized assistance and companionship in the child's home or in the community.
• Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation.
• Facilitating community engagement such as outings, social activities.
• Supporting skill development and independence goals.
• Providing emotional support and companionship.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral challenges preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
