Description:
The Middle School Afterschool Program, affectionately called AP for short, is our supervised space for MS students in the afternoons. Students must go to AP between any after-school activities or while waiting for a ride (after regular pick up has ended). Students may use the time to do homework, socialize, or other quiet activities. AP takes place on Mondays from 3:15-5:30 p.m. and Tuesdays-Fridays from 2:30-5:30 p.m. There is a proctored study hall portion for a small number of students on Mondays from 2:30-3:15 p.m. Ideal candidates will be able to work all 5 days but we are willing to be flexible with your schedules.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in education, recreation, or related child development field preferred
· Emotional maturity and willingness to accept responsibility
· Excellent judgement. Demonstrated flexibility and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
Daily
· Ensuring students sign in and out with you
· Monitor volume control of students
· Maintaining overall integrity and cleanliness of spaces used
· Communicating effectively with students and the MS/US Administrative and Operations Manager
· Upholding the school’s mission, vision, and core values
As needed
· Half-day coverage during Conference Days (2 per year)
· Other duties as assigned by the MS/US Administrative and Operations Manager
