Primary Purpose of Job
The Music Instructor is responsible for sharing their love of music with our students, teaching them their instrument by adapting and modifying to meet the individual learning styles of each individual student.
About our Arts Department
The Performing Arts Department of the Jewish Community Center strives to impart the joy and discipline of performing arts through a well-rounded program of high caliber instruction. Lessons in piano, guitar, voice, dance, and theater. Our expectations for our instructors is that they arrive prepared and ready to teach, and we will handle all the administrative aspects or scheduling and communication with our families.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in music required. Graduate degrees preferred.
· Must have extensive musical training and experience in a variety of musical styles. Should be able to read, write and edit musical notations quickly and correctly.
· Three (3) years of successful teaching experience in private and/or group settings preferred.
· An enthusiasm for music and an ability to inspire students’ life-long love and learning of music.
