3rd shift, Sunday night to Thursday night, 8:30PM-5AM
Job description:
Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading the department to execute and achieve the stated metrics.
Must haves:
- Ability to work multiple shifts and work overtime as required, including some weekend work
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with both salary and wage personnel
-Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
-Knowledge of warehouse distribution and material flow processes
What Makes a Candidate Stand Out:
-Experience supervising or leading a team in a union environment
-Working knowledge of the Continuous Improvement Process (CI) and 5S methodology
-Experience with an incentive pay system such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement
-Experience using statistical tools and techniques for quality management
-Knowledge or work experience in project management
-Experience with capacity and manpower planning
Education:
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor’s degree in (any discipline)
Or 1+ years equivalent work experience
