Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Warehouse Operations team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of our commercial recycling center, focusing on logistics, material processing, forklift work, and employee training / leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse / operations management and a passion for process improvement. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage team performance, providing guidance and support to warehouse staff.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate operations processing activities.
- Document receiving inventory.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for material handling.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Complete mechanical adjustments on balers as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of distribution center processes and best practices.
- Experience in team management with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
