The role.
We are currently seeking an Orthodontic Appliance 3D Modeler to join our team. This team uses digital images of our Customer's patients’ mouths (Orthodontists) to create 3D models to allow for successful fabrication of our various orthodontic appliances. Each mouth is unique, which means each device we make through 3D printing or other fabrication methods is also unique. This requires dozens of 3D models to be created each day to be used by our Production teams in the creation of each device.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
- Previous experience in orthodontics, dental labs, or a similar role involving technical and clinical knowledge.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (Modeling) software for manufacturing application (orthodontics experience preferred but not required). Software used includes Blender, MeshMixer, Maya, Cinema4D, Solidworks, ZBrush.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing case details and identifying discrepancies or issues in the design.
- Communication and Collaboration Skills: Capability to work closely with internal design teams, orthodontists, and other stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
This position is full-time, located at our corporate headquarters on Chandler St in Buffalo (free parking).
