Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Pantry Chef (Garde Manger) to join our culinary team at ARTISAN SOUTHPORT. This individual will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of cold menu items including composed salads, raw bar, canapés, chilled soups, and desserts. The Pantry Chef plays a vital role in maintaining our high culinary standards and contributing to the exceptional guest experience at Artisan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, plate, and present all cold dishes with precision and consistency
- Maintain quality and portion control in accordance with restaurant standards
- Ensure all mise en place is properly prepared and stocked before each service
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to develop seasonal cold menu offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garde manger station and walk-ins
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist with inventory and ordering for the pantry station
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar pantry or garde manger role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Creative and passionate about beautifully crafted food
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required
