Part-time General Maintenance Associate
Job Description
Summary
Fairhill Partners is seeking a motivated and reliable Part-Time Maintenance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with the day-to-day maintenance operations of our facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff, visitors, and tenants. This position offers 20-25 hors/week and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and mission-driven organization. This position reports to the Operations Director or his/her designees and works collaboratively with the entire staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work to ensure the facility remains in good working order.
- Assist with routine inspections of the building, identifying and addressing any necessary repairs or improvements.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot minor issues such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and lighting.
- Handle minor carpentry, painting, and general repairs as needed.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
- Monitor and report on inventory of maintenance supplies and materials.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal or other landscaping duties.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and guidelines, including proper handling and storage of cleaning and maintenance chemicals.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient facility operation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in building maintenance a plus.
- Previous experience in maintenance, custodial work, or a similar role is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or carpentry is required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility in hours, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to work 2pm -7 pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
