Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining payroll records. This role requires proficiency in payroll management systems and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
· Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data.
· Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions

· Preparing reports that include summary of earnings, tax deductions, leave and non-taxable wages
· Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation
· Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
· Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
· Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees
Required Skills
· Knowledge of wage withholding orders
· Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records
· Ability to engage with employees in a friendly and courteous manner
· Ability to type at least 50 wpm
· Attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
· Proficient in Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online
· Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
· Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems
· Ability to organize and prioritize work
