Job Description
Job Title: Pharmacy Supervisor
Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations, and providing guidance and support to pharmacy staff. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, implementing quality control measures, and addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise and manage pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
2. Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
3. Monitor inventory levels and order medications and supplies as needed.
4. Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and safety of prescription medications.
5. Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
6. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
7. Participate in staff meetings and trainings to stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
9. Handle any issues or complaints that arise with professionalism and empathy.
10. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve pharmacy efficiency and customer service.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field (PharmD preferred).
2. Active pharmacy license in the state of practice.
3. Previous experience in a supervisory role in a pharmacy setting.
4. Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong leadership and team management skills.
9. Proficient in computer software programs, including pharmacy management systems.
10. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
