As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Practice Administrator who is passionate about healthcare leadership and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with strong organizational, financial, and management skills who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment.
Your role:
As the Practice Administrator, you will oversee all clinical and business operations, manage financial performance, lead staff development, and ensure a high standard of patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including billing, insurance processing, accounts payable, and payroll
- Optimize revenue cycle management to ensure timely and accurate reimbursements
- Monitor coding accuracy, claim denials, and third-party payer performance
- Create and manage annual budgets and implement strategic cost-control measures
Team Leadership & HR Management
- Lead hiring, training, performance reviews, and team development
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration
- Foster a culture of accountability, support, and patient-centered service
- Address employee concerns and manage PTO, workflows, and productivity
Patient Experience & Service Excellence
- Implement systems to improve scheduling, patient flow, and wait times
- Proactively resolve patient concerns and track satisfaction metrics
- Elevate the patient experience at every touchpoint in the practice
Compliance & Business Development
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, and payer-specific guidelines
- Manage provider credentialing and payer enrollments
- Identify growth opportunities and lead community outreach, partnerships, and marketing initiatives
Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Partner with physicians and stakeholders to develop long-term operational strategies
- Analyze and present data on financial performance, workflow efficiency, and patient outcomes
- Participate in leadership meetings and help guide the overall direction of the practice
What We’re Looking For
✅ Experience: 4+ years in medical practice management (Ophthalmology/Retina preferred).
✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
✅ Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, EMRs, and insurance operations
- Proven success in team leadership and financial management
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and lead in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
