Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Exerciser/Playtime attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing engaging and enriching playtime experiences for dogs of various breeds and sizes. Your primary focus will be to ensure that each dog receives the physical exercise and mental stimulation they need while in our care. This position is ideal for animal lovers who enjoy spending time outdoors and have a strong understanding of canine behavior. Assist with kennel duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Monitor the physical condition of each dog, recognizing any signs of distress or discomfort.
- Provide individual attention to dogs as needed, catering to their specific exercise needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by regularly cleaning play areas and ensuring all equipment is in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with kennel management concerning their dog's behavior, needs, and any incidents that may occur during playtime.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure environment for both dogs and staff.
- THIS IS NOT A SEASONAL JOB. IT IS MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9AM TO 230PM
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with dogs or in a pet care environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of canine behavior and body language.
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and pet owners effectively.
- Physical stamina to engage in active play for extended periods, including walking, running, and bending.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
