- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the social well-being of clients.
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of clients within their home or community environment.
- Advocating for resident rights and promoting independence in daily activities.
- Assisting with memory care strategies for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Engaging clients in recreational activities that promote physical and mental health.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition.
Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- Experience in memory care and understanding of care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Knowledge of home care practices, including meal preparation and patient monitoring techniques.
- Familiarity with senior care principles, long-term care environments, and resident rights advocacy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
