Position Summary:
A motivated and customer-focused Retail Pet Supply Clerk is needed to join our team. This position is essential for creating a positive customer experience, helping shoppers find suitable products, and contributing to the store's overall success. The role involves interacting with customers, sharing product knowledge, and keeping the store well-stocked and inviting.Responsibilities
- Assist customers with their pet care needs and suggest appropriate products.
- Maintain knowledge of products, including food, toys, grooming, and health supplies.
- Process sales transactions accurately.
- Help with inventory, including receiving, stocking, and display maintenance.
- Work with the team to reach sales goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new products.
- Provide feedback to management on inventory and customer preferences.
- Keep the sales floor clean and organized.
- Follow all store policies and procedures.
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail or customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Computer proficiency and experience handling sales transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise.
- A passion for pets and knowledge of pet care products is preferred.
