Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring that each sandwich is crafted to perfection while providing an exceptional dining experience. This role is perfect for individuals with culinary experience and a knack for sales, as you will be responsible for not only making delicious sandwiches but also upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble high-quality sandwiches according to standard recipes and customer specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Upsell additional items to customers, enhancing their dining experience while increasing sales.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the café or quick-service restaurant environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a quick-service/fast food restaurant is preferred.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus, with knowledge of food handling practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers positively.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications are essential.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
