Overview
Anzios Italian Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced full service restaurant environment. As a Barback, play a crucial role in ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who can multitask, work quickly, and are passionate about the restaurant industry .
Responsibilities
- Greet Guests with a smile (and by name if known) and welcome them to the restaurant.
- Operate cash drawers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Packing and double-checking takeout orders for delivery.
- Taking customer orders from the bar.
- Answering incoming phone calls in a professional polite tone.
- Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone/to go orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Assist servers and expo during downtime by running food to tables, bussing, and re-setting and assisting with running side work.
- Stock and replenish supplies such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice as needed.
- Help with food preparation and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the bar area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is required.
- Basic knowledge of bartending techniques and drink recipes is a plus.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff alike.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Starting pay is $15/hour plus tips.
