The Shipping Leads? general responsibilities are to participate in coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities daily under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. This position entails picking, receiving, shipping and value-added services.
- Supervise and coordinate the most efficient unloading and loading of shipments, orderly stacking of product, picking and staging of outbound shipments.
- Adhere to and achieve daily standards in accordance with published service levels.
- Coordinate and verify all paperwork ensuring all inventory is accounted for.
- Ensure a safe work environment daily.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Ensure all security policies and procedures are followed.
- Reinforce company expectations regarding employee and behavior/conduct.
- Ability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the company.
Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age and a High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years? experience in a similar role
- Highly proficient with computers, software, scanning and related equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, leadership abilities, interpersonal, communication, verbal, written and listening skills.
- Attention to minute-by-minute detail changes.
- Display patience, self-confidence, and stress tolerance
- Ability to operate in a systematic, logical manner, and be a multi-tasker.
- Demonstrate good judgment and ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- At least 2 years? experience using warehouse distribution equipment, i.e., operate forklift and electric pallet jack.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and/or drug screening.
The starting salary for this position is $19.25 per hour plus an additional $4.93 per hour in cash fringe benefits for a maximum hourly rate of up to $24.18 with the possibility of additional weekly performance incentives.
