Our Snow Management Equipment Operators are responsible for providing emergency snow removal services for our clients by conducting ongoing snow and ice removal tasks during all hours of the day and night, in all outdoor weather conditions. This first-responder position is an essential service that makes an incredible impact on the local community by allowing businesses of all types to continue functioning as normal. Being a snow fighter is very demanding and difficult, but also extremely rewarding!
To be eligible for this role, youll need to be on call 24/7 (including holidays) when forecast calls for a snow event, but we may be able to work with your schedule if we are notified in advance.
Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekdays, weekends and holidays whenever it snows! Hours will vary based on the amount of snow we receive during the season. Snow events range anywhere from 4 hours to 10+ hours in duration.
This position is part-time/seasonal
Year round position is available to the right candidate
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment such as plow trucks, compact or skid steers to clear snow & ice from walks, driveways and parking lots according to the specified contracts and safety regulations
Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow
Maintain and care for company provided equipment, tools and vehicles
Requirements
Knowledge of proper use of snow removal equipment such as plows, skid loaders, vehicles with plow blades, to perform snow removal
Provide your own cold weather clothing including winter boots, coat, hat, gloves
Maintain a regular, dependable attendance record
Availability to work variable hours which may include weekends, holidays and overtime
Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditionsspecifically very cold, icy, and snowy weather
Legal authorization to work in the United States
18 years of age or older
Reliable transportation to the shop or first job site at any hour of the day or night
Valid driver's license
Either Experience required:
Truck with Snow Plow experience
Skid Loader with Snow plow experience
Offered compensation: $30/hr - $35/hr
Experience and License Requirements
