The Opportunity :
We’re seeking a Social Media & Community Strategist to lead the strategic planning and execution of content and community engagement across our brands social platforms. This hybrid role combines the analytical mindset of a strategist with the creative instincts of a content creator and the real-time agility of a community lead.
You’ll be responsible for building out high-performing content calendars, spearheading engagement initiatives, and ensuring everything is on-brand, on-trend, and performance-driven.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage platform-specific content strategies (Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest, etc.)
- Translate marketing and brand goals into social-first content calendars
- Own performance tracking, data analysis, and content optimization. Submit Monthly Social Media Report
- Brief creative teams and guide content production with trend-forward direction
- Identify growth opportunities through content formats, hashtags, audio, and platform features
Content Creation & Direction
- Ideate and script short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Stories)
- Capture native video content or direct on-set social shoots when needed
- Source, brief, and manage UGC creators and micro-influencers
- Collaborate with the creative team on brand visuals and social-first assets
Community & Engagement
- Lead real-time engagement strategy (comments, DMs, tags, mentions)
- Monitor sentiment, surface trends, and identify opportunities for brand moments
- Maintain and elevate brand voice across all interactions
- Work closely with customer care/social support teams to streamline communications
Collaboration
- Work closely with Influencer Marketing Manager, approving creators content.
- Support brand launches and seasonal campaigns with content ideas and suggestions for Influencers & Creators
- Brainstorm Activations ideas and collaborate with Social Media & Events Manager on event calendar
Events Ideation
- Collaborate with Social Media & Events Manager on event calendar.
- Propose activation concepts that align with brand voice and objectives (e.g., pop-ups, social challenges, UGC campaigns, IRL experiences, retail tie-ins, or digital events).
- Stay on top of trends and industry moments to recommend timely and culturally relevant ideas.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content, or community
- Demonstrated success building engaged communities and growing platforms
- Strong video content instincts with experience filming/editing native content
- Proficient in TikTok, Instagram Reels, Sprout Social, Canva, or Adobe Suite
- Solid understanding of brand tone, storytelling, and creator partnerships
- Strong communication, time management, and cross-team collaboration skills
