The Strategic Accounts Specialist provides in-person and virtual support to customers within an assigned geographic area to facilitate the adoption of Angel Aligners and increase aligner patient starts of strategic partner accounts. This role will partner with our customer service and clinical support teams to provide exceptional onboarding, training, and educational support to general dentists and orthodontists of select Dental Service Organization accounts.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored in-person and virtual product training and clinical support to large groups based on their experience level with clear aligners.
  • Drive adoption of clear aligners (to providers with little to no experience) and/or utilization of Angel Aligners (to experienced providers) using various sales, marketing and education strategies.
  • Oversee sales activities for assigned territory, meeting/exceeding quarterly sales targets and MBO’s.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partner contacts via in-field activity.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Angel Aligner products with a focus in learning clinical aligner mechanics to support customers.
  • Host and manage customer events (Dinner & Learn events) with a focus on customer education and clinical support.
  • Diagnose and resolve product and/or clinical challenges for customers.
  • Perform common orthodontic practice IT troubleshooting (firewall, I/O scanner integration, windows applications, network performance).
  • Develop feedback loops, ensuring our customer’s voice is heard in product development, sales, integration process/support, marketing and relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Stay current on trends and advancements in aligner therapy, including key features/benefits and competitive products.
  • Perform standard territory management: Develop call cycles, use data and reporting to identify high priority segments and targets, communicate territory activity via standard reporting.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires approximately 50%+ travel (including overnight travel).
  • Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and maintain auto insurance coverage.
  • Expectations are to be in the field 10-12 days per month.
  • Travel outside of the assigned territory may be occasionally required.
  • Attend key industry and corporate events.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including live presentations.
  • Proficiency in consultative selling with knowledge of the Challenger technique or related method preferred.
  • Deep understanding of orthodontic practice operations and team dynamics.
  • In-depth knowledge or experience of orthodontic mechanics via aligner therapy.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and knowledge of 3D orthodontic treatment planning software programs.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a combined 5+ years of prior sales and/or field-training experience with an orthodontic manufacturer or working as a team lead in an orthodontic or dental practice.
  • Previous experience working in or with a Dental Support Organization (DSO) is preferred.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment preferred.
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience required, preferably in healthcare, technology, or business-related field.
  • Experience presenting at tradeshows or customer-specific events.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly communicate with others by phone, email or virtual meetings.
  • Visual ability to detect differences among colors including shades of color and brightness.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as the ability to stand for prolonged periods working convention booths.
