Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, including experience with programmable logic controllers, welding, and electrical systems. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality and safety of our facilities while ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. The Technician will work collaboratively with various departments to support manufacturing operations and facilities maintenance.

Duties

• Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Conduct electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to facilitate repairs and installations.
• Carry out general facilities maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
• Provide mechanical knowledge to assist in diagnosing equipment issues.
• Utilize an Ohmmeter for testing electrical components and systems.
• Supervise junior staff or interns when required, providing guidance and support in their tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.

Skills

• Proficiency in programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is essential.
• Strong welding skills are a plus.
• Electrical experience is required for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Solid mechanical knowledge to understand machinery operations and maintenance needs.
• Familiarity with reading schematics for various systems is necessary.
• Experience in facilities maintenance is preferred to ensure the upkeep of the work environment.
• General maintenance skills across various disciplines are advantageous.
• Residential painting experience is beneficial for aesthetic improvements within facilities.
• Supervising experience is desirable for leadership roles within the team.
• Background in manufacturing processes will be considered an asset.

Pay: $21.70 - $26.13 per hour
