We are seeking an enthusiastic Tour Guide to lead private tours across Oahu for our Japanese-speaking guests. As a key part of our team, you’ll showcase Hawaii’s stunning landscapes, share insider tips, and bring the islands’ rich history to life. Fluency in conversational Japanese is essential to connect with our Japanese tourists—no reading or writing required.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead engaging and informative private tours around Oahu.
-Provide historical insights, local tips, and stories about Hawaii’s culture and landmarks.
-Drive guests safely and comfortably in a company-provided vehicle.
-Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Qualifications:
-Fluent in conversational Japanese (reading/writing not required).
-Passionate about Hawaii with knowledge of its history, culture, and hidden gems.
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; comfortable driving around Oahu.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, pleasing personality.
-Prior experience as a tour guide or in customer-facing roles preferred.
-Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to varying tour schedules.
-Physically able to lead tours, including walking and standing for extended periods.
Compensation:
-Full-time: $4,000/month + tips
-Part-time: $20 per hour plus generous tips (typically $100–200 per tour).
Flexible Part-Time Hours: Perfect for students! Choose from our night tour (6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., 7 nights a week) or full-day tours (8-5pm, 9-1pm).
